The smashing victory of coach Didier Deschamps's team makes France almost certainly go through to the second round. The French have six points. Switzerland has three points and is still in the race, but has a negative goal difference after tonight.
Later tonight, the other match in World Cup 2014 Group E will be played in Curitiba: Honduras-Ecuador, both soccer teams are still on zero points.
