The main stages are in front of the Copacabana Palace and across Rua Santa Clara.

The other stages are situated along the 4km stretch of beach between Leme and the Copacabana Fortress. Everyone’s musical taste is catered for with live rock acts, Brazilian pop songs, electronic music and samba.

New Year parties organized by all the major beach hotels in Rio de Janeiro.

You will notice everyone is dressed in white with some red accessories, signifying both good luck and romance. You are advised to do the same if you do not want to stand out. The Rio de Janeiro hotels stay open all night, serving breakfast from around 3am until midday on New Year’s Day.
In order to run the stream of revellers smoothly,
New Year's Eve transportation in Rio de Janeirois strictly organized. On 31 December, many roads in and out of the Copacabana area will be blocked from late afternoon.
This includes beachfront road Avenida Atlântica, which will be completely closed to traffic by 3pm.
Metrô Rio will have a special schedule and ticketing system in place, with pre-determined hours of departure.
Urban buses in Rio de Janeiro have free access during New Year's Eve.
Reveillon will be celebrated abundantly in other Brazilian cities as well, for example at Avenida Paulista in Sao Paulo.
