The Olympic flame will travel all around Brazil in 2016

Rio de Janeiro — Prior to its arrival for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games at the legendary Maracana stadium on 5 August 2016, the
Olympic flamewill visit no less than 250 cities in Brazil.
This was announced by the organizers of the next
Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The flame, symbol of the Olympic Games, will arrive on Brazilian soil only a few days before the
Over 10,000 bearers will cover around 20,000 kilometers all around Brazil.

'Through carrying the flame across Brazil, we keep our promise to give the opportunity to millions of Brazilians to celebrate that the Olympic Games will be in our country," Carlos Arthur Nuzman said. Mr Nuzman is President of the Organising Committee, who assured that 90 percent of the Brazilian population should be able to experience the
