Rio de Janeiro — Next year,
Google starts with an 'accelerator project' for Brazilian IT start-ups in the field of applications based on Google's mobile technology. Besides Brazil, the '
Launchpad Accelerator' program of Google also focuses on start-ups in the
emerging marketsof India and Indonesia.
Selected IT companies receive US$ 50,000 capital plus training, advice, guidance and access to Google products and services worth US$ 200,000.
The training and support from Google will take six months; the start-ups are considered to save themselves by then.
Google does not require compensation in the form of control or shares in the start-up.
Apparently Google is just happy when the companies will successfully contribute to the Google IT ecosystem.
